problem with cd changer

can anyone help ?our 850 t5 estate has a cd changer problem;it doesent work.how do you remove it or is there something to check out before you attempt removal?we have only just bought the car and honestly this seems to be the only problem;the previous owner had no idea what had happened when it stopped working he said it wasnt used much.I would be grateful for any input

hi, they are just held in place with a few 10 mm bolts. check the connection at cd changer and rear of stereo. wayne

Does the cd player eject the cassette?...if it does then it's getting power so would point to a loose connection at one end. If not, then maybe an inline fuse has blown?
