Bit of a strange question I know. I'm trying to work out wheel offsets etc and wondered this. I have a Peugeot steel wheel that is 6.5x16 with a 205/55x16 tyre on it to try. If you set the wheel up with spacers (bits of ply for now) to put the outside edge of the wheel in the same position as a Galaxy or Polaris wheel the tyres seem a bit too close to the wheel arch liners. Seeing as Volvo supply them they ought to go straight on without any problems, maybe the liners aren't a very good fit on my car.
HI, My 940 has Galaxies fitted with 205/55 R16 Toyo T1-R's and I get no rubbing.. You might want to check your arch liners... Des. . . ;)

Thanks I guess the clearance at the front increases a bit as the suspension moves. Its the back that seems more of a problem as the axle moves around a lot. There would be loads of room without the liners which made me wonder.
Hi, May be worth a check of the rear suspension components as well then. Could be bushes going or gone, or panhard rod needing adjustment, bushes on the anti-roll bar etc... Des. . . ;)
