Hello to all you 480 owners,i brought a 480 turbo last weekend 93 k reg,120,000 miles great nick all electrics working and first trip was to a car wash to check for leaks found none. now only problem i have are the rear light clusters which where white with dirt etc, tried a number of cleaners to no avail in desperation i used fine grade valve polisher then autosol after 20 mins i could make out the different lights. so once i sort a camera i will post pictures of my new toy which has taken me over 15 yrs to get hold of, but now what to do with my 245....

Hi RacingGreen, Welcome to the wonderful word of the 480! About those back lights, I saw a step - by - step guide to refinishing them. They're a bugger for fading. The guide I'm on about involved sanding them down with VERY FINE wet 'n' dry sandpaper, and using two - part varnish. Haven't tried it yet, but the results looked great. Probably just as well, because they're quite dodgy to remove in one peice. They're also expensive to replace ... even what turns up on Ebay seem quite dear. Well, you now own a car that's 3000% more rare than ( yawn! ) all those Audis, BMW's and Mercs, to name but a few. Enjoy! ( and remember those of us who only have a 1.7! ) Regards, Anthony.

Hi Racinggreen. congrats on the purchase. I've had my 480 Turbo for nearly 5 years. Better half bought it for my 40th. Since then she has 'snaffled' it as her daily runner. Reckon that may have been her plan LOL! Anyway our (my!) other car is an 89 245GL. Which I kept on receiving the 480. Both still going strong 480 on 134K & 245 on 172K. Love em' both. My advice.......... keep the 245 great when things need shifting that won't fir in the 480! Enjoy
